After putting Tennessee in his top schools, Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. was able to get on campus on Saturday.

With his 7-on-7 team playing a tournament in Knoxville, the class of 2025 prospect got a chance to look at Tennessee.

“It was live,” Farrakhan told Off The Hook on Saturday. “It was a really nice facility.”

The Woodlands (Texas) High School holds offers from over 10 schools. After receiving an offer on Halloween, the Vols have remained in touch with Farrakhan.

“I’ve been talking to the coaches, keeping constant contact,” he said. “It’s remained a strong relationship with me and Tennessee.”

The visitors got to walk through Neyland Stadium and be on the field. Farrakhan called it the best part of his day.

“It was beautiful,” the 6-foot, 170-pound wideout said. “When I stepped foot right inside that stadium, I saw how humongous it was, and how many fans that it could hold. If I’m on that field and all the fans cheering my name, I got to feel the vibe.”

Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports put a crystal ball in for Farrakhan, projecting he will commit to Penn State. After Saturday, Tennessee made a great impression on the prospect.

“They definitely stand on top,” Farrakhan said of Tennessee in his recruitment.

Jalin Hyatt and Tennessee’s offense caught Farrakhan’s eye last season. The type of offense a team runs plays a big role in his recruitment. He considers himself a receiver that can thrive after the catch, picking up extra yards.

“To be honest, I really think his scheme will put great receivers in the first round, just like Jalin Hyatt. I feel like he has a great scheme for his receivers and I look for colleges that use their receivers like that. It plays a big role in my recruitment.”

Farrakhan remains in contact with USC, Utah and “some other schools” along with his top five. The prospect dove into his top five with OTH.

Georgia: “If you want to go and make it to the league and be a real big impact, Georgia is the way to go.”

Tennessee: “You’re going to get the ball spread around. They’re going to use their receivers the correct way and you can’t beat that at all.”

TCU: “That’s right by me, almost hometown basically. You really can’t beat that and they just made it to the National Championship.”

Penn State: “Penn State is different, the atmosphere is different. The fans, the coaches, the culture. The coaches from Penn State love me.”

Florida State: “You can’t beat the tradition at all. You can’t beat Florida State’s tradition. I feel like, if I’m apart of that, I would really love it.”
