Texas wide receiver Drelon Miller released his top schools, and Tennessee Football made the cut.

The Vols were in Miller’s top nine, along with  LSU, Texas A&M, USC, Duke, Florida, Miami, Georgia and Penn State.

Miller is a four-star prospect out of Silsbee (Texas) High School. He ranks as the No. 65 prospect nationally.

Despite not taking a trip to Tennessee yet, Miller included the Vols in his top schools.

“I haven’t got a chance to go up there yet but the culture they have and the way they throw the ball is amazing,” he told ON3

The 6-foot-2 and 198-pound receiver finished his junior season with 1401 receiving yards on 59 receptions. He caught 21 touchdowns in 2022 as well.

On the ground, Miller ran for 361 yards and three touchdowns on 40 carries. He was a Texas Sportswriters Association (TSWA) Class 4A first-team all-state selection after his successful junior campaign.

He also impacted the hardwood, averaging 17.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.1 steals.

He currently has locked in two official visits with USC and Miami for June. The No. 13 prospect from Texas, Miller has visited Texas A&M three times since the New Year. He has also taken a trip to LSU during that span as well.

Tennessee extended Miller a scholarship offer last June. Although he hasn’t been to Knoxville yet, Josh Heupel’s explosive offense was enough to entice the prospect.

Miller ranks as the No. 13 wide receiver in his class. The athletic prospect would surely find success in Tennessee’s spread attack.

The class is comprised of four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger, four-star athlete Johnathan Echols, four-star wide receiver JJ Harrell, four-star cornerback Kaleb Beasley, four-star cornerback Marcus Goree Jr. and three-star defensive linemen Carson Gentle and Jeremias Heards along with three-star offensive linemen Gage Ginther and Jesse Perry.

The momentum is picking up for Heupel and his group heading into the summer.
