Tennessee’s recent success is being felt on the recruiting trail.
The Volunteers landed in several highly-ranked prospects’ top schools over the weekend. Let’s look at who has Tennessee as one of their top choices.
ATH Brandyn Hillman
Hillman announced his top eight schools via social media.
Hillman’s top eight include Tennessee among Oklahoma, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami, and Kentucky.
Hillman is ranked as the No. 25 athlete in the class of 2023.
Tennessee extended the 6-foot-1 and 191-pound athlete a scholarship offer in late September.
Hillman finished his junior season with over 1,000-yard passing and rushing. He also eclipsed 30 touchdowns playing both ways as a quarterback and defensive back.
Hillman attends Churchland High School in Portsmouth, VA.
QB Davi Belfort
Belfort announced his top seven schools on Saturday.
Tennessee landed in Belfort’s top seven, along with Alabama, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Ole Miss, and Florida.
Belfort – a class of 2024 prospect – would add to a very deep quarterback room that will likely still hold Tayven Jackson along with class of 2023 prospect Nico Iamaleava.
He is ranked as a three-star in the class of 2024, as well as the No. 26 quarterback. Belfort attends Gulliver Prep in Miami, FL.
Tennessee extended the 5-10 and 185-pound native-Brazillian quarterback a scholarship offer in March. Belfort was formerly a class of 2025 prospect, but reclassed to the class of 2024.
S Jaylen Heyward
Heyward announced his top six schools on Twitter.
Tennessee landed in Heyward’s top six among Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, and Florida.
Heyward is ranked as the No. 3 safety in the class of 2024.
Steve Wiltfrong of Rivals247 projected the four-star prospect to Georgia. Tennessee extended the 5-11.5 and 180-pound safety a scholarship offer in March.
Heyward attends Rockledge High School in Rockledge, FL.
