Tennessee is already landing commitments in the class of 2024.

Four-star prospect Mazeo Bennett committed to the Volunteers on Sunday. Bennett is ranked as the No. 30 wide receiver in the class of 2024.

Bennett chose Tennessee over South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia, among others.

As his commitment date approached, Bennett was given a couple of “crystal ball” predictions, projecting that the prospect would commit to Tennessee.

Bennett was in Knoxville for Tennessee’s victory against Florida earlier this year.

“Tennessee’s environment was electric!” Bennett told Rivals247 following his visit. “Man I loved it, could see myself fit perfectly in their offense!”

Bennett was extended a scholarship offer from Tennessee in May. He was also in Knoxville over the summer, visiting campus in July.

South Carolina has seemed like the leader to land the Greeneville, S.C., native for quite some time. He has visited Columbia several times to check out South Carolina, but Tennessee made enough of an impression to win over the prospect.

The Volunteers are landing a good athlete in Bennett. The four-star prospect scored four touchdowns in the first half of his game on Friday against Pickens High School.

The 5-foot-11 and 175-pound prospect finished 2021 with 25 catches for 661 yards and five touchdowns for Greeneville High School. He also made an impact on special teams, returning 13 kicks for 335 yards.
