Tennessee’s 52-49 win over Alabama took the country by storm. It also forced AP voters to take notice.

The Vols were ranked No. 6 in the Associated Press Poll before beating the Crimson Tide in a last-second thriller. Now, the Vols are ranked No. 3 in the AP Poll behind just Georgia and Ohio State, which are first and second in the poll, respectively.

Tennessee received 15 first place votes in the AP Poll. Only Georgia, Ohio State and Tennessee received any first-place votes.

The Vols also moved up to No. 4 in the Coaches’ Poll and also received first-place votes. The Vols haven’t received first-place votes in either poll since 1999. For more on the Coaches’ Poll, click here.
