Tennessee moves up in the polls – just barely

Being ranked No. 3 in the nation was nice. Now, Tennessee has moved up in the Associated Press Poll, just barely.

In the latest poll, which was released on Sunday afternoon, the Vols are tied with Ohio State for No. 2. However, the Vols have more first-place votes (18) than Ohio State (15). UT beat Kentucky 44-6 on Saturday at home. Ohio State beat Penn State 44-13 on the road. Kentucky was ranked No. 19 headed into the UT game. Penn State was ranked No. 13.

The Vols face No. 1 Georgia in Athens, Ga., on Saturday. The Vols are still No. 3 in the Coaches Poll.
