Tennessee football is hosting its second junior day of the year on Saturday. While it may not be as star-studded as the first, there are still some big names expected to be in Knoxville.

The Vols’ coaches have been visiting prospects at their high school, and Josh Heupel is looking to add to the momentum they are building on the recruiting trail. Here are prospects visiting this weekend.

DL Kamarion Franklin

Franklin is expected to headline this weekend for Tennessee football. The five-star prospect from Mississippi comes to Knoxville fresh off of visits to Arkansas and Miami.

To no surprise, Franklin has garnered a lot of attention. He ranks as the No. 24 prospect nationally in the 2024 class. The 6-4.5, 260-pound prospect also plays basketball for Lake Cormorant High School.

DL Bryce Young

Young is expected to make the trip to Knoxville from Charlotte Christian High School in Charlotte, N.C. The four-star prospect was recently extended a scholarship offer from the Vols in December.

He seems like a clear Notre Dame lean at this point in his recruitment, with several crystal balls on 247Sports projecting him to the Irish. The Vols will have work to do to beat out Notre Dame on Saturday.

At 6-5, 240 pounds, the defensive lineman ranks as the No. 199 prospect nationally and the No. 6 prospect out of North Carolina.

RB Jerrick Gibson

Gibson is expected to travel to Knoxville on Saturday, and the Vols have a massive chance to make an impression on the five-star prospect.

Attending IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., Gibson ranks as the No. 10 prospect nationally and the No. 1 running back in the 2024 class. The 5-10, 200-pound prospect runs an 11.33-second 100-meter dash.

Andrew Ivens of 247Sports called Gibson “The real deal” in his scouting of the prospect.

LB Daniel Hill

Fresh off a trip to Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s junior day, Hill is expected to be on campus this weekend. The four-star linebacker included Tennessee football in his top-10 schools.

There has been a lot of buzz around Hill and Alabama, with both sides showing mutual interest. He also spent a lot of time in Tuscaloosa in the fall.

Hill attends Meridian High School in Meridian, Miss., and ranks as the No. 156 prospect nationally and the No. 2 prospect from Mississippi.

RB Jordan Marshall

Marshall, hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, is expected to be on campus this weekend. The four-star prospect has been on campus several times before, including for a game in the fall.

He ranks as the No. 105 prospect nationally, and the No. 8 running back in his class.

WR Perry Thompson

Thompson, an Alabama commitment, is expected to be on campus this weekend. Despite being committed to the Crimson Tide, he has taken visits to Auburn and Miami most recently.

The four-star wideout had over 1,000 receiving yards for Foley High School in Foley, Ala., in 2022. He ranks as the No. 94 prospect nationally.

The speedster runs a sub-11 100-meter dash and is very projectable at the next level.

2025 QB George MacIntyre

Yet to be ranked by 247Sports composite ranking, the Tennessee native is expected to be in Knoxville this weekend. He attends Brentwood Academy in Brentwood.

The Vols seem to be competing with Vanderbilt for MacIntyre, as his grandfather was a former head coach for the Commodores. The 6-5, 178-pound QB is projectable to the next level.

Colorado also recently offered MacIntyre.
