Tennessee is gaining a lot of steam on the recruiting trail for the class of 2024. Competing for championships will do that.

Tennessee picked up a “crystal ball” prediction from Steve Wiltfong, who projected five-star prospect Ryan Wingo to Tennessee.

Josh Heupel and his staff have been hard after Wingo, who ranks as the No. 3 receiver in the class of 2024.

The crystal ball comes after Wingo’s visit to Tennessee – where he watched the Volunteers upset Alabama. Wingo was thoroughly impressed with the environment following his visit.

“The atmosphere was crazy!” Wingo told Wiltfong following his visit. “Fans were super loud and crazy.”

Wingo is expected to be in Baton Rouge this weekend, visiting LSU as the Tigers take on Alabama.

Tennessee’s offense has caught Wingo’s eye, to no surprise. Tennessee holds the No. 1 ranked offense in FBS football, averaging 49.38 points per game and 353.38 passing yards per game.

Wingo does it all for St. Louis University High School in St. Louis, MO. The 6-foot-2 and 198-pound athlete is a very skilled kick returner, which can translate to the collegiate level.

Wingo also runs track, running a 10.55 second 100-meter dash.

Wingo will be a name to follow as the Vols head into the 2024 recruiting cycle. Tennessee is expected to have a lot of turnover in the wide receiver position in the next couple of years, and Wingo is a prospect that can have an immediate impact on the wide receiver room.
