Deion Sanders is wasting no time in recruiting for Colorado, including going after Tennessee commitments.

Ethan Davis, a four-star tight end who is currently committed to Tennessee, received a scholarship offer from Sanders and the Buffaloes on Sunday.

Sanders’ hire at Colorado’s head coach has been national news since it was announced on Saturday. Coach “Prime” compiled a 27-5 record and won two SWAC championships with Jackson State.

Colorado is in need of a massive revamp, firing Karl Dorrell after starting 0-5 in his third season for the Buffaloes. They went on to finish 1-11. The former powerhouse has only had two winning seasons since 2005.

Sanders has wasted no time since being named the head coach of the Buffalos, sending out a slew of scholarship offers and telling current Colorado players, “I’m bringing my luggage with me,” in reference to the incoming talent he plans to bring in via recruiting and the transfer portal.

Davis, who committed to Tennessee in Dec. 2021, is now one of Sanders’ targets. To make matters worse for the Vols, Alex Golesh was Davis’ main recruiter and future tight ends coach. Golesh left Tennessee to become the head coach of South Florida, leaving a hole in Tennessee’s coaching staff. Golesh and Davis had become very close.
